Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say
In the last post, there was hope that our leaders in Washington would use the energy of the October 4th New Moon to forge a compromise and keep the government from suspending operations. As we all know, this did not happen and now the critical day of Oct 17, 2013, looms ever closer. Will the House, Senate and Executive Branch, work out their differences and raise the debt ceiling, in addition to working out a budget and opening the government?
In the strange and surreal world of Washington DC rhetoric, the health care exchanges set-up under The Affordable Care Act (AKA Obamacare) are similarly modeled to the Massachusetts health care system set up by then GOP Gov. Mitt Romney. Despite what you have heard, health care won’t be free, and it won’t kill us (well probably not) we will still have to pay; theoretically, it will now be AFFORDABLE. So, why the crazy, bizarre rhetoric from a small faction of the GOP? There is much more going on here, than opposition to health care reform. There is a well written and thought provoking article at truth dig, on the rise of the TEA PARTY movement, addressing the social, and economic issues that have created the opportunity for this movement to gain traction.
However, on a more Esoteric level, this is a direct (albeit unconscious) response to the evolution of consciousness. On an unconscious, yet profound level, we all sense significant changes in the energies of our collective consciousness; and for some of us this provokes primal fear, denial and rage. The great influx of Light continues to Illuminate stagnate darkness and decay, and for many this is unacceptable. There is much resistance to change, while holding on to remnants of the past; control, domination, patriarchal, and Caucasian.
As Lunar Eclipses tend to heighten unconscious reactions and intensify emotions, the opportunity for compromise may lose its way, given the desire to win at all costs. And winning seems to be the name of the game in Washington DC right now, at the cost of people’s livelihoods and economic solvency of the US.

Although Mercury does not retrograde until October 21, 2013, the effects have been in play for a few weeks. Mercury Stations Retrograde at 19 degrees Scorpio (Fixed-Water), close to Saturn and the degree of the upcoming Solar Eclipse on November 3, 2013. Mercury will retrograde over the Solar Eclipse degree, 12 Scorpio, on October 30, 2013.
Hold on to your hats, we are in for a wild Eclipse Season ride.
At this Lunar Eclipse, the Moon is in Aries (Cardinal-Fire). Mars is the ruler of Aries and as the ruler of this Eclipse Moon, he is traveling through early Virgo (Mutable-Earth) and is in exact opposition to Neptune in Pisces (Mutable-Water). Mars and Neptune are distinctly different energies, Mars is visceral; here, now, and action oriented, while Neptune in its home sign of Pisces has no boundaries, it is the electric blue ocean of Spiritual consciousness. This aspect on a mundane level will lend itself to shady negotiating and misunderstandings, illusion and rhetoric continue to be the norm, and the impending Mercury retrograde will greatly add much confusion and disinformation to the odd mix of energies.
Mercury also trines Jupiter in Cancer (Cardinal-Water), an aspect that normally would lend an ease of communication within the government, as Jupiter rules Law, and governance. But amid the odd energies in play, this may only manifest as much hot air bandied about, while real people, as in not the Bubble of the Beltway, are feeling the economic pain of the government shutdown.
And lest we must not forget the ongoing square between Pluto in Capricorn (Cardinal-Earth) and Uranus in Aries (Cardinal-Fire) will come into another exact square on November 1, 2013, a few days before the Scorpio Solar Eclipse. Capricorn rules Government Institutions, and Pluto is, well I like to say, Pluto’s energy eradicates what is no longer conducive to our soul’s evolution, whether we are ready or not.
What is no longer conducive to our collective evolution?
We must all look within for the answer.
At this fiery Aries Lunar Eclipse, keep your wits about you, and try not to react on pure emotion…we are Spiritual Warriors in a time of great change, look to the Eagle and the Dove.
